- 1 pounds lean ground turkey
- 2 (14.5 oz) Cans of Diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 TBSP chili powder
- Toppings
- Sour cream (optional)
- Shredded cheese (optional)
Directions:
- Place ground turnkey and onions in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain.
- In a large pot over high heat combine all the ingredients (except topping items), mix well and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours. (Note: If using a slow cooker, set on low, add ingredients, and cook for 6 to 8 hours.)
