Green Bean Casserole



Ingredients:
  • 3 (15.5oz) cans of French style green beans, drained OR 5 1/4 cups fresh french cut green beans
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 large cloves of garlic, minced OR 1 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 
  • 1 can (6 oz) of Frenchs Fried French Onions
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 strips of Bacon, diced and cooked - Optional
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a skillet melt butter and saute onions and garlic until onions are translucent. 
  3. In a large mixing bowl add onion mix, flour, sour cream, milk, sugar, salt, pepper, cheese and half of the Frenchs french fried onions. Mix well
  4. Add green beans and bacon to the mix of ingredients mix well and place in a 1 1/2 - 2 qt baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and hot. Top with the remainder of Frenchs french fried onions and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until top is browned. 
  5. Serve and enjoy!
