- 3 (15.5oz) cans of French style green beans, drained OR 5 1/4 cups fresh french cut green beans
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 large cloves of garlic, minced OR 1 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 can (6 oz) of Frenchs Fried French Onions
- 1/4 cup milk
- 4 strips of Bacon, diced and cooked - Optional
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a skillet melt butter and saute onions and garlic until onions are translucent.
- In a large mixing bowl add onion mix, flour, sour cream, milk, sugar, salt, pepper, cheese and half of the Frenchs french fried onions. Mix well
- Add green beans and bacon to the mix of ingredients mix well and place in a 1 1/2 - 2 qt baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly and hot. Top with the remainder of Frenchs french fried onions and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until top is browned.
- Serve and enjoy!
