Drunken Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 6 pork chops
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • Cajun seasoning
  • 8oz beer
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 TBSP cornstarch, optional
Directions:
  1. Season pork chops lightly with cajun seasoning, around 1/4 tsp each side (more if you like it really spicy), on medium add olive oil to a large skillet. When oil is hot add pork chops and brown.While the pork chops are browning in a bowl mix together beer, ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. 
  2. When pork chops have browned add the liquid mixture to the pan and cook on medium low heat for 20 minutes or until pork has reached 145 degrees.**
  3. Serve and enjoy
** If you would like a thicker sauce remove 1/4 cup of the sauce from the pan 5 minutes before pork is done. Mix cornstarch in the 1/4 cup of liquid until well blended. Add cornstarch liquid to pan and stir well. Turn heat up to medium high and let thicken. By the time Pork is done cooking the sauce should be thickened.
